He loved teaching lessons and spreading his vast knowledge to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and worked as a Mill Right where he learned and excelled at many trades. In the last years of his life, he spent countless hours teaching life lessons which will make a lastly impression on all that knew him.
He will be remembered as a lover of history, the “bald headed computer,” books, guns, and ammunition, tinkering, storytelling, and spending hours watching his great grandkids while woodworking and eating popsicles in the shop.
Bill is survived by his three children, Leslie (Albert) Merritt of Kansas City, Kansas; Bill (Kathy) Rand of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Rachel (Scott) Boyce of Prairie Village, Kansas. Four Grandchildren, Jake (Kelly) Jones, Isabell Rand, Gus Rand, and Scottie Boyce. Two great grandchildren; Annie and Josephine Jones.
