Vojin Dodik

Vojin Dodik of Bonner Springs, Kansas, passed away peacefully at home July 3, 2022, at age 82. Private family services were held on July 8, 2022.

Vojin was born on May 10, 1940, in Mrčevci, Yugoslavia, the son of Rajko and Nevenka (Keiečević) Dodik. He immigrated to the United States in 1969 with his wife, Marija (Škrljac) Dodik, who preceded him in death on June 24, 2021.

Vojin retired from Pentair in 2010 and was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, gardening, watching soccer and KU basketball, and will be most remembered for his sense of humor.

Vojin was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Marija; his parents Rajko and Nevenka; his brother Dragoljub Dodik; and his sister Dragica Vujić. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Melanie and Nancy; grandchildren Alexa, Ashlyn, and Camryn; and his sister Rosa (Dodik) Dražić of Serbia; as well as extended family members and friends.

Vojin will be laid to rest next to his wife at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, Kansas. To post condolences, please visit warrenmcelwain.com.
