Terry was my proctor when I was a student embalmer at Warren-McElwain. He was a good man, and I was sorry to hear of his passing.
I are very sorry about Terry’s death. We have many fond memories when we both worked together at Warren-McElwain. He talked about his nieces and nephew fondly. The meant a great deal to him. I regret that Diane and I will be out of state this coming weekend, but our thoughts will be with you all. Sincerely, Rob Campanella

Terry was always so kind to our mom. He put up with her constant teasing and she loved to tease him. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him. Terry was a wonderful man that make sure everything had a place. I learned several values from him that I use in my life today as a funeral director. I was a student embalmer/ funeral attendant at Warren-McElwain. Terry and I had many late night chats about the industry. He was a good man with a strong heart.

Steve, Carol, Dave and Mike: Meg and I so very sorry for your loss. Our prayers and thought are with you. Terry was good, kind, loving and gentle man who carried a lot on his shoulders from a very young age. We know he is at peace, but sad he left us too soon and too young. Please accept our condolences to you all.
I was in mortuary school with Terry and always found him to be a gentle, caring individual. We would meet at meetings and events and he always had a kind word and a smile for me as we would talk about “old times” and how things were going. I appreciated him a great deal. I was at his service on Monday, but didn’t stop any of the family as I really don’t know any of you, but I just want you to know that he and you are in my prayers and that of my community. I will miss Terry a lot, you have my sincere sympathy.
Steve, Dave, Mike, and Carol. Just got back in Town and saw the notice in the star. So sorry for your loss. In case you do not remember me I roomed with Terry and Dave in the early 1970’s. Occasionally Terry would stop in at my Dept. at KU Med when he had the occasion to be there. Was always good to visit. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
To everyone in the Cavanaugh family: We have all lost someone whose quiet presence has been part of our lives for many years. To Carol, Steve, David, and Mike, we send our heartfelt condolences. The love in your family for each other will be strained by his absence. But that love and your strength will sustain you. You each remain in our thoughts.
