Terri Lynn Beach

Terri Lynn Beach passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on April 19, 2015. She was born in Nuremburg, Germany on February 7, 1960. She was the third child of Theodore William and Bertha Virginia Beach. She was a smart, very funny and caring woman.

As an adult, she worked as an expert electronic circuitry technician at King Radio in Lawrence, KS, General Dynamics in Colorado Springs, Co, and also Raytheon in Washington, DC. After moving back to Lawrence, she worked at Operation Wildlife for nearly 10 years, first as a volunteer, and then as the manager of the receiving Center in Overland Park. She raised countless squirrels, bunnies, birds and many other animals. Aside from wildlife she also raised many litters of kittens and puppies. From the time she was a small child she had a passion for helping, and raising, injured and orphaned animals. Terri had a huge heart for helping people as well. She was, and still is loved by so many.

Terri is survived by her loving mother, Bertha Beach of Lawrence, KS; her daughter and son-in-law, Ashli and Gerardo Olivera; and her beloved grandson, Oscar Olivera, of Lawrence, KS. She is also survived by her three brothers, Theodore Beach, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO; Michael Beach of Lawrence, KS; Mark Beach, of Colbert, GA, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Lawrence, KS.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations, in memory of Terri Beach, to Operation Wildlife, 23375 Guthrie Rd, Linwood, KS 66052 or may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    Terri was truly one of my favorite people. My heart is heavy today. Her smile, wit and love for life and all things living leaves a deep impression on many. Wishing her friends and family strength.
