Hollins, Schnette – Passed with peace and grace on Friday, April 24th, 2015, with her family at her side. She is survived by her loving husband, Ivan, sons Ivan Jr. and Austin, and daughter Cierra of Lawrence. She is also survived by her parents Bill and Ellen Stewart, brother Christopher Dyer (Joy), sisters Stephany Bullock (Victor) and Carmen Thomas (Richard), in-laws Austin and Iona Hollins, grandmothers Marie Bradley and Mary Blackwell, nieces and nephews and lots of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Scherry Bradley, her brother Stephen Stewart, Grandfathers Harvey Bradley, Irvin Blackwell, Robert L. Stewart, and Grandmother Catherine Stewart.
Schnette was born July 24, 1971 in Topeka, KS. , raised in Overland Park, KS, where she graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. She attended the University of Kansas where she received her Bachelor’s degree in English in 1994. She went on to marry the love of her life and to this union, three children were born. Nothing gave her greater joy than supporting and nurturing her children, while cheering them on during practices and games. She was a member of the Indiana Avenue Church of Christ in Topeka, KS. She was a devoted employee to the Lawrence Journal World and its customers. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend.
A service will be held at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS, Wednesday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m.
