Sandra K. Reusch

Sandra Kay Reusch, 74, passed away on July 23, 2021 at the Moran Manor, Moran, Kansas. Graveside inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Memorial Park in Lawrence, Kansas.

She was born December 20, 1946 in Franklin Co., KS the daughter of Ralph and Frances Nevalee (Van Valkenburg) Hartpence.

Sandra grew up in Franklin County, KS and attended school in both Ottawa and Tonganoxie in her younger years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. She was a room mother when her children were young and liked baking treats for their holidays and birthdays. She loved to crochet, jewelry paint and do other arts and crafts. She also enjoyed doing puzzles. She had a love for all children, not just her own. She ran a home daycare for some time, and served as a crossing guard and a scout leader when her children were in school.

She married Wayne Reusch, Jr. on November 20, 1965 at the First Methodist Church in Tonganoxie, KS. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Clifford Reusch and James Reusch, a daughter, Jeannie Mae Beerbower; two brothers, Robert (Jane) Hartpence, Ronald Hartpence, a sister, Jeannie (Mark) Gillette; brother-in-law, Leo Yocum; six grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Kimberly, Dacoda, Katie, Sloan, and Damon, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joan Yocum.
