Our Hearts Go Out to You. May the thought of others caring and the sympathy they feel be a source of consolation that is very deep and real, and may your happy memories bring help and comfort too, Throughout this time of sorrow that’s so difficult for you. Aunt Ruby always had a laugh that was so bubbly and giggly that you almost wondered if she held a secret. We loved her southern accent that she insisted she never had .. But to us Iowa folks, we knew she had. We looked forward to her visits almost every summer when we were little, and the children she brought along for us to play with. lol. Many great memories we share…. Bless Her Heart. Now she joins the rest of the Lewis Family. What a reunion.. God Bless Her …..

Rest in Peace, Ruby, Rest in Peace. My first memory of you was in about 1937 or 38 when I was 3 or 4 and you were a teenager living with the grandparents west of Scranton. I was in the house and a teenage friend had stopped by to see you. Evidently you had played a trick on him. I heard you laughing as you ran in the house and hooked the screendoor just in time to keep him out. In 1939, my first year in school, you were in high school and I can still see you peeking in the classroom door to see how I was doing. I also remember a few years later when Leroy and I were sneaking around smoking and accidentally set you old outside toilet on fire. Memories. Memories. Rest in Peace, Ruby, Rest in Peace.
