Graveside inurnment services for Ruby Arlene Pringle, 84, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, KS. She died on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Ruby was born on March 19, 1928 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of William and Marguerite (Vogler) Deitrich.
She was a clerk in the produce department at Dillons grocery store on Massachusetts Street, for 23 years until she retired.
She married Charles Frank Pringle on November 22, 1946 in Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death May 26, 2001.
Survivors include one daughter, Jill (husband, Melvin) Pringle Packer, Lawrence; two sons, Roger (wife, Linda) Pringle and Rod (wife, Diana) Pringle, both of Lawrence; a brother, David Higgins, of Oskaloosa, KS; a sister, Helen Miller, of Lawrence, KS; six grandchildren, (Brandon Grammer, Michael Pringle, Andrew Grammer, Mark Pringle, Kevin Grammer, Melissa Pringle Miller); and 14 great grandchildren.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials in her name to the Lawrence Salvation Army or the charity of donor’s choice and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
Rest in peace Ruby, you will be missed.

Jill, I was so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I know how heartbreaking that is. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Jill, I wanted to say hello and that I remember your Mother so well from when Ron was the produce manager at Dillons at 19th and Mass. I remember that Ron thought she was a terrific worker. I am sure you will miss her. Please know I will be thinking about you!
