Robert Howard

Funeral services for Robert A. Howard, 60, De Soto, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 30, 2012 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors.  He died on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at his home.
Robert was born on March 20, 1952, in Lawrence, KS the son of Alfred Eugene and Dorothy Jane (Hill) Howard.  
He served his country in the US Navy.
He was a welder.  He worked as an operator at FMC in North Lawrence for 18 years.   
He enjoyed bowling and bingo.
He married Lori on February 16, 1974 in Lawrence, KS.  She survives of the home.
Other survivors include daughter, Carla Howard, De Soto; two sons, Rhaene Howard, Lawrence and Robert Howard, Topeka; brother, Phillip D. Howard, Lawrence; 9 grandchildren, Krysta Brooks, Robert Eugene Howard, Jr., Alexandria Howard, Michael Howard, Taylor Edwards, Miciah Howard, Zakari Howard, Jaidyn Griffith, Jainy Howard and 1 great grandson, Darrien Dae Shaun Martain Johnson.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Alfred W. Howard, Eugene Howard and two sisters, Dorothea Howard and Sherniece Newman.   
The family will greet friends 7 – 8:30 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    I am so sorry for the loss of Robert. All the times we played pool together in the league and Robert by your side Lori and then later seeing you guys playing bingo. Robert was a wonderful man that will be greatly missed. My prayers to your family.
