Paulett Gibson

Funeral services for Paulett Gibson, 64, Lawrence will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Warren-McElwain in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. She passed away May 20, 2015 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Paulett was born January 31, 1951 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Paul Robert and Betty Rose (Beers) Burchett.

She married Steven Alexander Gibson November 11, 1985 in Las Vegas, NV. He survives of the home.

She worked for Hallmark Cards in Lawrence for over 40 years where she held many different positions. The majority of her career she was a machine operator.

Paulett was a member of the Pilot Club of Lawrence. She enjoyed traveling, collecting antique glassware, and attending craft shows with her friends. She had a special fondness for her Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. She was known for always being supportive of her friends in their hardest times.

Other survivors include one brother, Jimmy Burchett and wife, Theresa; one niece, Lisa Burchett; many friends; and her Hallmark family.

The family will greet friends from 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at the mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Lawrence Pilot Club and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    The Lawrence Pilot Club has lost a true gem. The club really will not be the same without her. Such a kind and caring person who I will miss.

    Paulett epitomized what it meant to be a member of Pilot Club. Friendship and service. All you had to do was ask, and she was there. The Club will miss her dearly and so will I.

    What a great loss for anyone who knew Paulett. She had a great sense of humor and always brought a smile to my face.

    Steve, I am so sorry to hear about Paulett, and that I was unable to make it to the funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I loved Paulett ever since we worked at Hallmark Cards and will never forget her. She will be in my thoughts and memories as long as I live.
