Paul Winn was a such a dear friend for many years. Paul was Lawrence Kansasif you ask me. A very gentle soul, caring heart, a man who believed in equality and stood up for the rights of all people. I am so saddened to hear of his passing, but he is with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and that brings me comfort. Rest in Heaven Paul. You will be missed!

I am sad that my friend has gone away from us, but I know that he is with Our lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This was one of the most humble men of God that I have ever met. This was a man that always had the heart of Jesus, and knew that he had a joy for Him. I am proud to have known him.

Paul Winn, Jr affectionately known to family and friends as “Bubba” was also my brother. I hadn’t seen my brother in 32 yrs but have always kept him and all my sisters and brother Butch in my heart. I had been talking to my nieces about coming to surprise Bubba but seem like there were obstacles every time I set out to do so. When I lived in Topeka with my mom (Shirley Winn) Bubba was the best brother a girl could ever ask for. He always wore a smile and was always ready to give God some praise. I loved seeing Bubba get happy and giving God his purest praise. He was a great son to our father Paul Winn, Sr. Paul Winn, Sr may not have been my biological dad but he was a great father figure to me and my sister. I still love them both dearly. To his wife Elaine, I haven’t met you yet but I love you for loving him. To my sisters Sissy, Puddin and Baby, my big brother Butch, I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!! I’m still determined to make my way back to Topeka!!! Rest In Paradise My Brother.

I was so saddened to hear of Paul’s passing. Michael and I so enjoyed his positive spirit; his faith was inspiring. We will miss him. I know that the heavens rejoiced and that he was welcomed with the loving arms of our Savior; that he was greeted after a life of great faith; well-lived; well done. Our prayers go out to family and friends for the Comforter to draw near; for the hope of the gospel to reassure you that this parting is only for a moment. God bless and keep you always. Thank you for sharing Pastor Winn; for his tireless commitment to this community; to each of us, to his family and friends, and to the Lord.

My prayers go up for the family and congregation of Pastor Winn. Brother Winn was a man generous of spirit and steadfast love of Jesus. While this world is now the poorer with his passing, heaven has welcomed home another soldier for Christ. I will miss you brother but we will be together again, thanks be to God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4
