Norman Roy Rogers

Memorial service will be held at a later date in New York for Norman Roy Rogers, 78, Moultrie, GA. He passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends in Lawrence, KS.

Norman was born June 3, 1937 in Java, NY the son of Alvie Roy and Helen Shrieber Rogers.

He was an Operating Engineer from 1967 – 2002 through Operators Local Union #17 out of Buffalo, NY.

He married Shirley Ann Porter October 5, 1956 in Yorkshire, NY. She preceded him in death in 2002.

Survivors include his son, Adam Rogers; and two daughters, Laura Rogers, Lisa Beverly; three granddaughters; and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to the VNA and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
