Lois Lorene (McMickell) Crawshaw

Funeral Services for Lois Lorene (McMickell) Crawshaw, 90, Eudora will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday January 4, 2019 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary- Eudora Chapel. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Silver Lake Cemetery in Silver Lake, Kansas. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel.

She passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at Medicalodges in Eudora surrounded by her family.

Lois was born October 22, 1928 in Ness City, Kansas the daughter of Harvey David and Emmaretta (Rankin) McMickell.

She married Franklin Francis Crawshaw on March 7, 1946 in Topeka, Kansas. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include three daughters, Frances L. Crawshaw Whitesell (Ellis Whitesell), Elizabeth Ann Crawshaw Drennan (Elmer Drennan), Linda R. Crawford (Paul Crawford); three sons, Eugene F. Crawshaw (Shirley Musick Crawshaw), Lonnie D. Crawshaw (Jan Hall Crawshaw) and Fred A. Crawshaw; 14 grandchildren: DeeAnn Whitesell Howell (Darin), Tammy Whitesell Gabriel ( Phil), Randy Whitesell (Kristi), Brad Drennan (Penny), Mark Drennan (Kasey), Terry Crawshaw (Beth), Betsy Crawford (Ned Day), Tom Crawford (Jacque), Jackie Crawshaw White (Josh), Jayme Crawshaw Schnabel (Kian), Chelsea Crawshaw, Sara Crawshaw Loux (Scott), Jesse Hagen; 19 great-grandchildren, Micheal Howell (Kendrea), Alicia Howell (Rebecca), Cheyenne Stephens Becker (Kyle), Chris Gabriel, Dakota Whitesell, Jon Lawrence, Taylor Whitesell, Brecken Leeds, Deegan Leeds, Camryn Crawford, Brett Crawford, Abe Crawford, Holly Drennan Shinkle (Zach), Bailey Drennan, Korbin Drennan, Mason Hagen, Matthew Hagen, Khloe Crawshaw, Jack Crawshaw; Great-great grandchildren: Jaylen Howell, Madie Howell, J.B. McCauley, Gwen McCauley, Morgan Howell, Matthew Howell, Addison Becker, Josie Becker, Cody Shinkle, Sarah Shinkle, other family; sister-in-law Jane McMickell, Elko, NV and many nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Joel and Alva; two sisters, Winnie Evans and Doris Uhl, grandson, Kenneth Crawshaw and granddaughter, Sally Lou Crawford.

Lois worked at Textron in Overland Park for a couple years and then for the Daisy Corp in Gardner for 12 years. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and traveling. She traveled with Frank to all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. She was a member of the Olathe Trail Riders and Cedar Creek Good Samaritans. She attended Silver Lake Baptist Church, De Soto Baptist Church and St. Paul United Church of Christ in Eudora.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to Visiting Nurse Hospice or Relay for Life in Eudora and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
