There will be no public services for Loyd M. Wilson, 84, of Topeka, KS. He died on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his home in Topeka.
He was born on January 8, 1930 in Lawrence, KS, the son of Curtis E. & Louise Allen Wilson. He had lived in Lawrence for many years and moved to Topeka, KS in 1973.
Loyd worked as a truck mechanic for Topeka Waste Management for several years and prior to that, the State of Kansas. When he lived in Lawrence, he owned and operated the Wilson Implement Company in North Lawrence.
He was married to Colleen Hogan on January 17, 1947 in Independence, KS. She survives of Topeka.
Survivors include three daughters; Linda A. Davis, Lynn Shultz, and Penny Tuckel, all of Lawrence. He also had four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
I am sorry for your loss. My parents, Ruth and Dalyn Wilson, send their condolences and our prayers are with you and the family. Uncle Loyd will live on in our memories.
