Funeral service for Lela F. Morley, 91, Eudora, will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary- Eudora Chapel. Burial will follow at Hesper Cemetery. She died March 31, 2013 at Medicalodges Eudora.
She was born April 13, 1921 in Hesper, Kansas the daughter of Ralph and Ethel Westerhouse Votaw.
She worked in the Eudora grade school in the cafeteria for 20 years retiring in 1987.
She was a member of the Eudora United Methodist Church.
She married Harold Morley on December 23, 1939 in Columbia, MO. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2007.
She is survived by two sons, Donald “Don” Morley and wife, Rebecca, Tucson, AZ and Robert “Bob” Morley and wife Isla, Covina, CA; six grandchildren, Douglas, Vicki, James, Sheila, Jonathan and Emily; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dondee Smock; and sisters, Eva Lancaster and Dorothy Baldwin.
The family will greet friends 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary- Eudora Chapel.
The family suggests memorials in her name to Eudora United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
