Kenton Jay Slaubaugh

Kenton Jay Slaubaugh, 63, Lawrence, KS, died Friday, October 27, 2023, at his home. 

He was born April 7, 1960, in Iowa City, IA, the son of Marvin and Grace (Miller) Slaubaugh. 

In 1982 he earned a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and computer sciences from the University of Iowa.

He worked for more than 30 years as a software developer and business intelligence professional, most recently for the Long-Term Care Division of North American Life and Health, a General Electric Company, as a Senior Business Analyst.

Kenton was preceded in death by his father, and his sister, Mary Catherine Murray.

Survivors include his mother, Grace Slaubaugh, Kalona, IA; his aunts, Kathryn Slaubaugh and Helen Lindstrom, Wellman, IA; his aunt Mary Ellen (Ralph) Lichty, Goshen, IN; his uncles, Maurice (Susan) Miller, Milwaukee, WI, and John (Rachel) Miller, Lawrence, KS; his brother-in-law, Don Murray, Parnell, IA; and nephews and cousins. 

Honoring Kenton’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.

    Kenton will be greatly missed, but not forgotten. He was always willing to lend a hand and go the extra mile. Kenton would tell you about situations and projects accurately and truthful. He was a pleasure to work with. I am glad I knew him.
