Kenneth Weaver was one of my favorite authors from National Geographic, especially as I grew up loving the Space program. He had a wonderful way with words and he will be sorely missed.
Ken was a mentor of mine when I first started working at National Geographic. With no background in space science, I was assigned to fact-check one of his stories in the late 1960s and thus began many wonderful years of working together. My condolences go to Dee and the rest of Ken’s family.
What a wonderful gentleman, mentor, writer, and friend Ken was! I worked with him at NGS for many years and admired him for his knowledge, wit, and grace. My sympathy to Dee and the rest of his family.
My heart goes out to the whole family. I always enjoyed my talks with Ken through these past years and I have really been touched by everything that I recently read about him. What a very full life! My thoughts are with you, Dee, and the rest of your wonderful family. Judy
