Visitation and funeral services for Judith Claire Robison, 92, Lawrence, will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence. Visitation will be held at 9 am with a rosary at 9:30 am followed by funeral services at 10 am. Burial will be in the Lone Star Cemetery in Bison, Kansas. Mrs. Robison passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at Brandon Woods.
Judith was born February 17, 1923 near Catawissa, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William Northrup and Marcella Shultz. She was the youngest of five children.
In 1943, during WWII, she joined the US Army Air Nurse Corps. She was stationed in England where she was a Flight Nurse. She worked as a medical technician at Hoisington hospital after World War II.
On June 9, 1955 at Nellis Air Force Base, she married Dr. Corbin E. Robison, a Colonel in the US Army Military Corps. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1979.
Survivors include sons, Dr. Edward Robison and wife Marie, Warrensburg, MO, Russell Robison, Phoenix, AZ; Grandchildren Kelda Zabel (Mike), Wamego, KS, Renée Jacobs (Malcolm Sparling), Leawood, KS, Dr. Beth Finnane (John), Warrensburg, MO, Edward Robison (Janalee), Eureka Springs, AR; Great-grandchildren Elizabeth Zabel, Michael Zabel, Nick Jacobs, Rebecca Jacobs, Patrick Finnane, Matthew Finnane, William Finnane, Catherine Finnane and Ethan Robison.
She was a member of American Legion Post 14, Lawrence FOP Auxiliary, Corpus Christi Catholic Church and St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Lawrence Fraternal Order of Police or American Legion Post 14 and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
