Jerome Godinez

There will be a private family tribute for Jerome D. “Mico” Godinez, 66, Lawrence, will be held at a later date. 

He was born on April 2, 1943 in Ottawa, KS the son of Dolores and Lucia Martinez Godinez.

He married Lupe Ramirez on November 16, 1971 in Ottawa, KS.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Jane Godinez, Olpe, KS; four sons, Marc,
La Vista, NE, Bradley, Chicago, IL, Mario, Lawrence, Brian, Lawrence; one sister, Kathy Carpenter, Omaha, NE; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Tony.

He worked as a forklift operator for E & E Display Group for over 16 years.

The family suggests memorial contributions in his name to Jerome D. Godinez Memoiral Fund  and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

    Mario said it perfect ! He was the best at every thing. I only wish I could equal my father in the way he loved his wife and kids.

    He was a king among men and taken way to early from us.

    There must have been a huge need for men of his status in heaven for the earth is now less defended for his passing.

    Hi, my name is Laura, I am the daughter of Roberto Q. Martinez in San Antonio,TX. My Dad always would talk about his cousin “Mico” in Kansas and we are sad to find out today that he passed away 2 yrs. Ago. Our Deepest condolences to all the family, even though we have yet to meet. Maybe some day. My Dad is really sad to find that his best (friend) cousin has passed. πŸ™
    Well, like I said,maybe someday we can meet. πŸ™‚

    I know this has been a couple of years now and I am very sorry for your lose. I have lost both of my parents about 10 years now and it never gets any easier. Just remember the good times. Marc, this is Keith from Curie High School and I hope this is you. My prayers are with you.
