Jean M. Wood

Memorial visitation for Jean M. Wood, 68, Eudora will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Eudora Cemetery. She passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at her home.

Jean was born January 14, 1946 in Langdon, ND the daughter of Ronald and Stella (Perdew) George.

She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker of 48 years.

She married William D. Wood February 25, 1967 in Green Valley Lake, CA. He survives the home.

Other survivors include; two sons, Steve Wood, Eudora, Chuck (Linda) Wood, Lawrence; two daughters, Kris Wood, South Carolina, Charlee Wood, Linwood, KS; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers, Corky George, North Dakota, Ron George, Minnesota, Steve George, California; and one sister, Michelle Warner, Texas.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

    God Bless you Jean……Your family will miss you dearly. Woody, thank you for being such a wonderful, loving husband and father. You and I have something in common…we became “caregivers” not by choice but because of the love we had for our partners. I will forever be indebted to you for your partnership with Jean.     Bill and Family, it sadden me to hear about Jean . . . I wasn’t aware of her long term illness. Jan and I send you heart felt condolence. Normally we would have been in Kansas at this time but our home is on the Market and we are unable to leave. You, as well as, your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
