We know Jim is now at peace. We will miss him a lot. I know he is looking down on us, and making sure we smile and laugh just a little, and think of him when we do. Our best to Julia, Katie, and Michael. We love you all, very, very much.
Jim and I took Latin together at Topeka High. He and a couple of his friends were “upper classmen” and helped a couple of us “lowly” freshmen through the class. Over the summer, we forgot a lot of the Latin we had learned. Jim, Jerry Townsend, Gary Tompkins, and several others including myself, struggled to make it through 2nd year Latin. My cousin, Katie Strahm, was the teacher and I certainly didn’t want her to think I was dumb. Jim was a wonderful person and we are so sorry for your loss. We know he’s had health issues for a while now. May your wonderful memories of family times together help you all to find peace. God’s blessings- Linda

Julia, It has been so long but know that my prayers and continued prayers and thoughts are with you and your kids. There is no ’f’ manual to get us through these times (reference to the old days of computers) but there are people all over who are with you in love. Peace.
Juila and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love,
Kathy, Neil, Noel and family (Gilbert)

Dear Julia and Family, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad and trying time…I will miss him, his help at Fiesta time and think of him always…Mike
I was deeply saddened to learn of Jim’s passing. Even though we have talked much lately I always considered Jim one of my best friends. We were the old timers on the softball team and enjoyed many beers together after the games. His steady demeaner and great sense of humor was always entegral part of the team. His presence will be greatly missed! My most deepest sympathies!
Julia, Katie & Michael, words can never take away the heartache to make the grief less but maybe knowing how much your family is loved and respected can give some comfort. Jim was a wonderful man and always a smile that warmed your heart when he greeted you. He will be deeply missed. Much love to all of you, from the heart, Katrina

Hi Julia,
I’m sorry to hear about the passing of your husband. It sounds like he fought with all his might and fervor to beat cancer. Julia, you have been blessed to have had such a wonderful and selfless man in your life, and now he’s your number one advocate for you in heaven.
Peace and all goodness to you my friend, Dale
