I worked with Jim while he was a probation officer for Leavenworth County. Jim always had a practical and sensible way of dealing with everyone, be it judge, attorney or probationer. I always admired his work and would listen to his recommendations carefully. Jim was missed when he retired, both his hard work and his humor and good- natured banter. My deepest condolences to his family. He made a difference in the lives of many people in Leavenworth County.

Jim married into my family. He will be trully missed. His smile, laughter, and your personal outlook on life will be missed. His journey was a long one but he has finally arrived. The bible talks about the resurrection, I believe that we will see each other again. Pray will help Jim’s family through the trying times.

Jim’s work was like a stone in the pond that sends out ripples in an ever expanding circle that makes it impossible to tell just how many lives he touched and how many people he helped. He will be remembered as a great and caring man.
