During my years at the KU Bookstore / KU Memorial Unions, I worked closely with Jim and the KU Gunn Center for the Study of Science Fiction to support his books and conferences. I was honored to help launch the works that he published in later life and it was always a pleasure to assist him and the science fiction community that surrounded him. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues at this sad time.
