I had the good fortune to work with Irene and know her and Bob for a number of years. She was a good friend, but more importantly, a very wonderful lady and a pillar in the Lecompton and Lawrence communities. I will miss her.

I’m very sorry to hear that Irene passed away. I have a lot of great memories of going trick or treating around Lecompton with her when we were kids. We had a lot of fun back then. I’ll never forget those times. She was a truly great lady.

MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO BOB AND THE FAMILY. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU.
It was with real sadness that we read of Rene’s passing. I was interested to see that one writer mentioned Halloween when he thought of her. One of my earliest memories of growing up in Lecompton is also about that. I remember coming to your house as a boy of nine or ten and trick or treating. Rene always had the best treats, Snickers as I remember. This, I think, was typical of her generous and fun loving nature. I will always remember her this way,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Renie. Our thoughts and prayer are with you. Carmen & Jeff Shultz
