Funeral services for Iona Mae Spring, 89, Eudora, KS are scheduled for 10:00 am, Friday, March 4, 2022, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Eudora, KS with a visitation starting at 9:00 am. Iona passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Baldwin City Healthcare and Rehab in Baldwin City, KS.
Iona was born May 5, 1932, at home in Eudora, KS, the daughter of Merritt and Ella (Wichman) Musick.
Iona married Henry “Jock” Spring on February 28, 1952. Iona and Jock lived in Williamsburg, KS for 20 years. Jock passed on December 31, 1972, and then moved to Eudora. Iona married Fred Campbell and later divorced.
Iona is survived by her four children: Dennis “Denny” (Janet) Spring, James “Jim” (Libby) Spring, Charles “Chuck” (Barb) Spring, and Kathryn “Kathy” (Bruce) Nunn all of Eudora. Iona had 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Iona had five sisters and four brothers.
Iona was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter-in-law, Libby Spring.
Memorial contributions may be made in Iona’s name to The Eudora School District and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
