Memorial services for Ida Mae Sundling, 82, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence with a visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. Ida passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at her daughter’s home.
Ida was born on January 4, 1942, in Belleville, KS, the daughter of Clarence and Bernice (Herbert) Bureman along with her older sister, Sandra, brother Andrew and younger sister Lindsay. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and both sisters. Ida is survived by her daughter Diane Vigna and her sons Tyler and Ryan and their father Andy. Her son David Richardson lives in Portland OR with his wife Carrie and their daughter Evelyn.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ida’s name to Lawrence Humane Society or Douglas County VNA and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

I was fortunate to know her and spend many holiday meals with her. My condolences to the family and friends who nurtured her journey in life.
Ida was a lovely lady who will be missed. I remember her beautiful smile and her love for her grandchildren. My condolences to Diane, Andy, Tyler and Ryan.
