To Dean and all the boys, when I heard that your Joann had passed away it took my breath. She was a wonderful wife and a wonderful mother. I remember her laughter and how she could make anything out of something. I used to babysit all you boys while your mom and dad went out with my parents. What I remember about Joann was when she took the upstairs and made it into a play room for all you boys. You could do anything up there from writing on the wall to painting the wall. I moved away to Lubbock, Texas now but the memories will be in my heart. Dean now she up there with dad, mom,Kenny, Pearl, and many of your friends. I know it will be hard but look to the good times. My thoughts and prayer are with you. Love to all Kathy Unfred Chapman and my family.

Dean and boys: I remember all the help you & Joann provided when Don was gone and I needed repairs. Your friendship as parents of 4 of my students made my teaching experiences at Grant some of the best that I had. I remember the fun and laughter that Joann gave to her family and friends. Gary called me, as he usually does to update me on Lawrence, to relay the news. My prayers go out to all of you and your families. God grant you His peace and give you courage in the days ahead. May love from
O-H-I-O also surround you during this time. Know that I too will miss her.
