Eva Wells

Graveside service for Eva Sue Wells, 66, Lawrence will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2013 at Rochester Cemetery in Topeka.    She died April 21, 2013 at the University of Kansas Medical Center.  
 
Eva was born on December 26, 1946 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Fred and Ida Mae (Ross) Coffman.
 
Eva graduated from Osage City Rural High School in 1964.  She later graduated from Crum’s Cosmetology School.   She was employed at the University of Kansas.  Eva was an avid bowler and also enjoyed reading, the outdoors and her family.  
 
She married Randy Wells on May 29, 1971.  They later divorced.  Together they had two sons.  
 
Survivors include two sons, A.R. Wells III and wife, Barb, J.D. Wells, all of Lawrence; one brother, David Coffman, Osage City, KS; three sisters, Kaye Boyce, Topeka, KS, Roberta Peterson, Miller, KS, Judy Jellison, Topeka, KS and two grandchildren; Vaughn and Keira Wells.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  
 
The family will greet friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April, 25, 2013 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.  
 
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing Eva and she was a very good friend of my husband when he was battling cancer. She will be missed by me and many others.
