Wow! I did not know she grew up here her whole life and graduated from Eudora also. I guess because my family moved here in 1957 I never realized how many people here are Eudora natives. I remember so much how she helped in the basement of the Methodist church during dinners and was such a servant for others. Never had a harsh word for anyone. All those children, grandchildren and babies are a wonderful legacy. I am sorry for your loss. She will be missed by many.

Praying God’s comfort to the entire family during this time of loss. I remember my few moments with Aunt Edna during summer visits with my grandmother Annabelle Freese. She was sweet as the day is long and I will cherish those brief moments for years to come.

Aunt Edna has been a most loving, kind, and gracious host whenever my sons and/or I visited the Kansas branch of the extended Holmes family. She’s an inspiration to all of us, with her volunteer activities spanning the range from the Eudora schools, to church activities, and women’s groups. The Chicago and UK Holmes family members all miss her. She’s lived a full life, and will be remembered long after her passing.
