David Rogers

Private memorial services will occur at a later date for David Lee Rogers, 49, of Lawrence, KS.  Private inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.  He died on Sunday July 25, 2010 in Lawrence.

He was born on January 19, 1961 in Lawrence, KS.  He was the adopted son of Buddy and Betty M. Rogers.  He grew up in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School.

Mr. Rogers was a self-employed residential painter.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and attended Alcoholics Anonymous.

Survivors include his father, Buddy L. Rogers, of the home, and a sister, Christine Davenport, of Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty M. Rogers on November 26, 2009.

    Buddy and Chris,

    I am so sorry for your loss. I don’t know if you remember me, but David was my first high school sweetheart when we were Sophomores at LHS. I remember him as a very kind, thoughtful person with a wonderful smile. My thoughts are with you both in this difficult time.
