There are no formal services scheduled at this time for Cynthia “Cindy” Susan (Cron) Kopf, 64, Lawrence, KS. Cindy passed away on Tuesday October 22, 2024, at LMH Health.
Cindy was born on December 31, 1959, in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Orval John and Donna Sue (Hunsinger) Cron, whom she preceded in death.
Survivors include her siblings, Terry (Dawn) Cron, Gina E. Snodgrass, Leslie Sharp, John Cron, several nieces, nephews, cousins, her aunt Ronda (Tim) Shepard, and ex-husband Keith Kopf, who all will miss her very much.
Cindy loved her home state of Kansas very much, but she left at the age of 18 and moved to North Augusta, South Carolina. While she lived in Augusta, she worked for the Augusta Georgia Newspaper and fell in love with the Beach and everything “South”. Then in 2000 she transferred to the Topeka Capital Journal to be closer to her family, even though her heart remained at the Beach. In 2008 she started her journey working at, what is now Maximus, as a Customer Service Representative, where she was planning on retiring in December.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Cindy was an avid lover of animals and leaves behind her baby 1eyed Jack. Memorial contributions may be made in Cindy’s name to The Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

Cousin Cindy,
I love and Miss you.
I remember the morning talks we had. The so many things we had in common. Then I found out I knew your family and that was so awesome. May you fly high with the angels and in peace.
Peace to all the Cron family! I’m so sorry to read this, I remember Cindy when we were children going to Marion Springs Elementary School. She always had a smile and was very sweet! Hugs to you Gina, I remember you being close to your sister.
