Crystal is survived by her mother, Julie White, of Silver Springs, Nevada; her sisters, Angelina Cruz (Maximo) of Lawrence, and Melissa Gustafson (Brian) of Fremont, California; her eight children, James White of Silver Springs, Nevada, Shelby Bray Lopez (Victor) of Antioch, California, Tad Bray of Oklahoma, Korinne Dickerson of Arizona, Justice Martinez of Salida, California; Precious White-Garrett of Lawrence, Perstephanie Steelsmith of Columbia, South Carolina, and Ro Williams of Salina, Kansas; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who are family by choice.

The family will gather to celebrate Crystal’s life on Sunday, March 3rd, from 4-9 pm at Mama’s Tamale Shop, 602 W. 9th St in Lawrence, KS. Friends from the community are invited to join in honoring Crystal’s memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the GoFundMe organized by Crystal’s sister, Angelina Cruz, to assist with funeral expenses and support the family during this challenging time. The fund also aims to raise awareness for crucial social causes such as mental health advocacy, trauma healing, and homelessness.

Crystal’s legacy serves as a reminder of the pressing need for societal change and compassion towards all individuals, regardless of their circumstances. Let us honor her memory by striving for a world where every life is valued and supported.

Sister and mentor, I will deeply miss you. You and me we argued a few. Joked, together we feared nothing you had a heart that most never saw only few. I will miss you so much. I will keep you alive in my mind and my heart I shall care you. I don’t know what stupid reason for this. Come high or hell waters you won’t be known here. The lady who was stabbed in a tent, on her birthday. You were beautiful, straight forward and no matter when we ruffled each other’s feathers we never stayed mad long. Wish you here I have so much to tell you. And the info about your depart don’t make since. my gut tells me but not all the time you say follow it. But you were right about my relationship the whole time. Blinded you’d tell me. I’m putting that turtle necklace you gave me. Always only thing I have you. I’m older it wasn’t your time. But them or those who did it will not get out. If I got to be at every parole hearing. Rest in peace sister. When I get the fun will begin. Till we see each other again. I Love You. Come check in on me from time to time. Even then I know you will.
