To the children of Charles “Rocky” Mason. Next week, September 21st, our EHS Class of 1958 will share our 65th Class Reunion. Rocky had been invited because Betty Burns Mason, your Mom, was a much loved and respected member of our class. Rocky always made sure Betty could be with us and he attended as a good friend, too! When we have our reunion your parents will really be missed. You grown children have had the best parents and please know each of them made where ever they lived a better community. We know their Hesper Friends Church Family will now miss Rocky’s friendship and attendance, too. Blessings as you grieve. Sincerely, Elizabeth Weeks Woods- for the Class of 1958

Rockey was one of a kind! He could spin yarns with the best of em. I have nothing but fond memories of roofing for him, fishing and hunting with him in my youth, taking him to lunch in his last several months with us, taking drives thru the country side while he pointed out the various houses that he had roofed. His memory was something to behold. The best part is that Rockey has known the Lord as his personal savior for many years. In his last years, when he would call or visit, he never failed to tell us he loved us and prayed for my family. RIP, big boy! You will never be forgotten! Much love, Bob (and Pat) Burns

Rocky was my neighbor I live across the street. I’m missing seeing & talking to him when he went for his daily walks in the parking lot. I’ve known him for many decades. Always admired him as a roofing contractor knowing that is not easy work. His occupation takes a toll on the body. He’s missed already. RIP, Rocky!
