    Dear Susan and family,

We were so very sorry to hear that Carol has died. What a terrible loss! We did not know her well, but remember her as a very nice person who loved to have fun and had a great laugh–and who loved her dog. Our thoughts are with you.

    With sincere sympathy,
    Barb and Dick

My heart aches for Carol, who was one of the most supportive and loveliest women I’ve ever met – not to mention one of the best dog moms! I have such fond memories of her bringing Maggie to see me at work, JUST to see me, so I could call “Maggie!” and have that lovely ball of fluff come running towards me. We kept in touch after my 2000 mile move, and I still have a picture of Maggie framed in my office. My heart goes out to her family, and to little Maggie – who carries a piece of Carol with her. I always joked that if Carol ever needed to find a new home for Maggie, I would have a dog immediately, and that still holds true. All of my love.
