Graveside services for Bobby Russell, 84, Eudora, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Eudora Cemetery. Bobby passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Medicalodges Eudora.
Bobby was born on June 30, 1938, in Ozark, AR, the son of Jesse and Eva (Williams) Russell.
Bobby Joe was an accomplished cement finisher with a 50-year membership card of Cement Mason and Plasterers Local 518.
Bobby Joe enjoyed helping family and friends. Other interests include hunting, fishing, mule riding, caring for his dogs, gardening, and yard work.
He married Karen L. Rose on March 25, 1957, in Lawrence. They were married for 66 years. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his son, Mark A. Russell and wife, LaDonna; five daughters, Pam Schmeck, Connie Russell, Renee Thomas, Debbie Dalton, Vickie Eckard (Scott Eckard); six grandchildren, Tyler Dalton, Dylan Eckard (Shelby), Erik Russell (Taylee), Baylee Brewer, Brandon Russell, Kara Eckard; three great grandchildren, Karter, Kaneon, Jackson, and one on the way; and two sisters, Minnie McCormick and Helen Huff.
The family suggest memorials in Bobby’s name to the Medicalodges Eudora ~ Activities Fund or Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Bobby the last 5 years and let me tell ya he made my days amazing! you will be missed Bobby.
