Memorial Mass for Bernadine Rocker, 74, Goodyear Arizona formerly of Lawrence, Kansas will be held Friday, September 18, 2009 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence. Inurnment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Bernadine passed away on September 3, 2009 at her home in Arizona, surrounded by loved ones.
She was born May 20, 1935 in Greeley, Kansas the daughter of Oscar and Rose Setter.
Mrs. Rocker was a homemaker. She additionally, worked many years for the Lawrence Housing Authority and greatly enjoyed the time she spent with the residents of Babcock.
She married Eugene C. “Gene” Rocker on February 5, 1955 in Greeley, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1999.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Rocker Salomon, Goodyear, AZ; two sons, Bryan J. Rocker, Maineville, Ohio, Joseph D. Rocker, Lawrence, Kansas; sisters, Irene Gellhaus, Greeley, Kansas, Rita Kipper, Richmond, Kansas, Etta Egidy, Greeley, Kansas; and preceded in death by her brother Ralph Setter, Garnett, Kansas; grandchildren, Zachary R. Saloman, Goodyear, Arizona, Dustyn D. Polk, Lawrence, Kansas, Traci E. Harriman, Colorado Springs, Colorado; great- grandchildren, Sebastion Seeley, Jonathan Seeley, Hanna R. Sanders and Kristen J. Harriman.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
