Anthie Elenie Kruzel

Anthie Elenie (Dallis) Kruzel, 76, of Eudora, Kansas, passed away at home on January 29, 2023. Anthie was born June 15, 1946, to Sam D. Dallis and Norma J (Hubbard) Smith in East Liverpool, Ohio. After graduating from East Liverpool High School in 1964, she married John M Kruzel. She went on to be a homemaker and mother to five children and resided in Youngstown, OH, until 1978, when they moved to Van Wert, OH. After a short time here, she and her family moved to Lawrence, KS, which most still call home.

She is survived by her five children, 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Ann Kruzel of Beaverton, OR, and her daughter Theresa and her children Sophia and Amira Haniyah; Christina Wasik of Erie, CO, and her children Addison and Dominik; John D. Kruzel of Lawrence, KS and his daughter Moriah; Ann Marie Tah of Lawrence, KS and her children Nicholas and Steven Calderwood and Sarah, David, and Mary Tah; Michael Kruzel of Lawrence, KS and his children Tyler, and daughter Emilia, and Adam. She is also survived by her sisters, Elsie Marie McDevitt of Lakeland, FL, and Katherine Hughes of Calcutta, OH, and by many nieces and nephews.

Anthie was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Norma, and daughter-in-law Kris (Miller) Kruzel, wife of John D. and mother of Moriah.

Anthie will be remembered as a trooper. Although she experienced much adversity throughout life, she always found reasons to laugh. She loved to reminisce and play games and puzzles. As anyone who visited her would know, she quickly had you playing her favorite card or Nintendo game. Her family will remember her most for her love of children, water/swimming, back tickles, and homemade banana splits.

We wish you peace. You will not be forgotten.
