Anna Bolton

Private inurnment services will be held at a later date for Anna Mae Bolton, 93, of Lawrence, KS.  Inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.  She died on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Anna was born on February 8, 1919 in Mirable, Missouri, the daughter of Isaac and Bunie Whitsett Fairbanks. She lived in Lawrence most of her life.

She was a homemaker and had also formerly worked as a clerk for the Ben Franklin and  Woolworth’s stores in Lawrence. 

She was married to Ralph L. “Roy” Bolton on October 10, 1935 in Lawrence, KS.  He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Julie Nieder, of Lawrence and Linda (husband, William) Lawrence, also of Lawrence, six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family suggests memorials in her name for the Benefit of Jerod Nieder at Douglas County Bank, or to the www.helphopelive.org in his name and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Jerod Nieder is one of her great grandchildren, who were all so important to her.

    So sorry to read of your mom’s passing on Thanksgiving Day. I hope you have lots of wonderful memories to help you during this difficult time.     Linda, Sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I remember her from our teenage days as a very sweet, caring mother.
