Amanda and I were together for 11 years. She once waited in line outside Allen Fieldhouse for 8 hours to get tickets for her and I to see Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls when they came to Lawrence. It caused her to miss her first day of summer school and not graduate that year so I could have Bulls tickets. I didn’t ask her to miss summer school, that’s just the kind of person she was because she knew I loved the Bulls.

I would like to say thank you to everyone who’s had amanda in your prayers and thoughts and to let everybody know that I’m very thankful that I had the help that I’ve had. You know Amanda and I were only together for 2 years but in those 2 years I’ve gotten so close to her and she was such a great person. Everyone keeps saying she had a huge heart. Well from personal experiences with amanda I have to definitely agree with everyone.

Amanda was my daughter in law for many years. She really did have a big heart, a generous spirit. Once When I moved into an apartment, Amanda & Joe came to see me one day and she had two big shopping bags with her. It was full of things that I would need to set up house keeping. Bath towels, and bath rugs, small kitchen appliances and kitchen towels, and kitchen utensils just to name a few. I think one of her favorite things to do, was going shopping at Wal*mart at 2:00 in the morning.

Amanda, your Indiana family Loves you. You have made the journey we will all make someday.
