A. Mishler

Private memorial services for A. Evelyn Mishler, 82, Lawrence, KS, will be scheduled at a later date.   Private inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence.  She died on Sunday, June 30, 2013 at her home in Lawrence.

Evelyn was born on January 5, 1931 in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Cy and Edith Campbell Barncord.

She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in Lawrence and attended the University of Kansas.

She was married to Bud Mishler on December 24, 1950 in Lawrence, KS.  He preceded her in death on April 13, 1994.  She and her husband had lived in Lawrence for many years before moving to Florida in 1986.  She moved back to Lawrence in 2004.

Survivors include her daughter Le Anne and husband, Mike Maples, of the home, two grandchildren, Belinda Base and Chris Maples, and four great grandchildren. 

The family suggests memorials in her name to the Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    She was a wonderfull person. Always wanting to do something for you. I don’t think she ever had a harsh word. I will miss her calls about the computer. I always enjoyed coming over and helping her. She was a GREAT lady and will be missed by many.

    I’m so sorry to hear about Evelyn. I’m not sure I ever met her but her name was often spoken in our home as I was growing up. I also saw her picture regularly. She was my mom’s (Melva Dene Hoover Puckett) Matron of honor in 1951. I always got the sense from Mom that she was the sweetest lady. My condolences.
