Ruth May Lahman

Funeral services for Ruth May Lahman, 74, Shawnee, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora, KS. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. an hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Burial will follow the service at Eudora City Cemetery in Eudora, KS. Ruth passed away peacefully on Monday, April 11, 2022, at Shawnee Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Ruth was born on November 14, 1947, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of William and Lorene Ruth (Ditch) Kerr.

She worked as a daycare provider, preschool teacher, she enjoyed working and teaching children. She loved to entertain family and friends for holidays and special occasions. She was passionate in reading the Bible and memorizing scripture.

She married Anthony George Lahman on February 9, 1973, in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2020.

Survivors include her son, David Lahman, Phenix City, Alabama; daughter; Sandi Meo, Shawnee, KS; four grandchildren, Erilynn Meo, Brock Meo, Jay Meo, and Anissah Meo; two brothers, Frank Kerr, St. Louis, MO, David Kerr, Arkansas. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and two brothers.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s name to the Shawnee Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation Activities Fund and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
