Diane Marie Nichols, 65, Wichita, KS passed away May 28, 2020.

Diane was born on August 12, 1954 in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Paul and Arvilla Born. Diane was a Wife, Grandmother, Mother, Sister, Aunt.

Diane was a very loving, compassionate, faith driven woman who did everything for her family her whole life. No sacrifice was too big, especially when it came to her kids.

Diane had a few different jobs, but her career and her passion was as a Mother, Wife and Nana.

She married the love of her life Mike Nichols on May 16th 1981 in Lawrence, KS.

She is preceded in death by her husband Mike Nichols, her father Paul Born , her mother Arvilla Born and her brother Mike Born.

She is survived by her 3 sons: Jeff Phillips (Wife Samantha and Children Jayden and Ryder Phillips of Riverton, KS), Chris Phillips (Wife Cydney and children Lincoln and Charlie Phillips of Wichita, KS), John Nichols of Austin, TX, and her brothers Kenny Born and Doug Born and her sisters Marilyn Altemus, Phyllis Stone, and Nancy Boyd. She also loved an abundance of nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces.

The family suggests memorials in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
