Doris made a huge impact on the Eudora community and she will be deeply missed. Doris was very active with the Eudora Area Historical Society (EAHS) for many years, especially in the 2010s. Doris could be counted on to volunteer with the EAHS whenever she was needed. Doris helped us out with field trips, all of the times that the museum moved locations, fundraisers, special events, programs, and a number of other projects. The EAHS will always be grateful for Doris’ staunch support over the years! Doris was a very proud Eudoran; her ancestors included some of the earliest German immigrant families that moved into the Eudora Area in the 1800s. Doris was also an expert on the History of Hesper. All of us with the EAHS extend thoughts and sympathies to Doris Schehrer’s friends and family.
