Memorial services for Louis Edward Rhodd, 83, Eudora, will be held at 10:00AM on October 19, 2024 at Tesson Cemetery on the Iowa Reservation in White Cloud, KS. Louis passed away on Thursday, September 26th, 2024 at home surrounded by his wife and children.
Louis was born on August 14, 1941 in Horton, KS. the son of George Leonard and Ardith Lucille (Simpson) Rhodd. He grew up in Falls City, NE and attended the school district there. He later served in the United States Navy from 1959-1962. He retired from Bryan-Ohlmeier Construction Company in August of 2003. He was a member of the American Legion of Falls City, NE. And the Otoe Missouria Tribe of Indians of Red Rock, Oklahoma.
He married Elda Jean Marrs on July 21st, 1968 in Falls City, NE. To this union 3 children were born. Survivors include his son, Garrison Rhodd, Lockwood, MO. Two daughters, Billie (Shawn) Roush, and Ronni Faircloth, both of Eudora, KS. 11 grandchildren Jordan (Nikki), Corey (Kat), Lexie (Ian), Haley (Nate), Hanna (Josh), CJ, Morgan (Andy), Raegan (Michael), Clayton (Emma), Joseph, and Lincoln and 11 great grandchildren: Landyn, Parker, Sofia, Kaydence, Sawyer, Vivian, Bellamy, Amelia, Hudson, Mila & baby Eloise (nicknamed Lou) coming next Spring.
He is also survived by his siblings: Reginald Rhodd and Ronald Rhodd both of Falls City, NE. Deborah (Steve) Ogden, Lisa (Derald) Eggerman both of Lockwood, MO. and, Pamela (Larry) Longacre, Eudora, KS. and several extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother George (Squirrel) Rhodd and one sister, Karen Foote, and his Father in law and Mother in law, Bud and Imogene Marrs.
Memorial contributions may be made in Louis’ name to Visiting Nurses Association of Douglas County, KS and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

Billie, Ronnie, Gary, Elda and Grand kids, Marilyn and I are sorry for your loss. always enjoyed the wave from Lou as he would drive down the road past our home. Our sympathy goes out to each one of you.
Prayers as your family process his earthly loss. He had so much love for those grandbabies and was so proud of them.
