Christian Jonn Camlin

A Celebration of Life for Chris “Christian” Jonn Camlin, 59, Lawrence, will be held at 1:00 p.m. CST on August 27, 2024, at First Presbyterian Church in Lawrence, KS  2415 Clinton Parkway Lawrence, KS 66047. Christian went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at his home.

Christian was born on April 21, 1965, in Cleveland, OH, the son of Donn and Gemma “Laura” (Gummoe) Camlin.

He married Annette McMillian on April 28, 2001, at the Fort Leavenworth Memorial Chapel.  She survives at home.

Other survivors include his children, Matt Barnett of Waynesburg, KY, Selden Neal Jennings Anderson-Camlin of the home, Kelsey Annette Camlin of the home, Calen Christian James Camlin of the home, and Connor Jareth (Rylee Trowbridge) Morrison of Lawrence. Siblings, Robin Camlin-Dimarino of Gilbert AZ, Darren (Tami) Camlin of Parkville MO, and Kelli (Kevin Beaver) Camlin, his mother-in-law Connie “Ann” McMillian, and his sister-in-Law, Kerri (Kelly) Campbell, both of Bellevue, NE.

Christian was preceded in death by his parents, Donn Camlin, Gemma “Laura” Camlin, one brother, Donn R Camlin and an infant sister, Carla D Camlin.

Christian graduated from Cleveland Heights High School. He attended Kent State University earning a B.A. in music. After graduation he spent several seasons working for a ministry in several of the National Parks. He worked in Telecommunications and courier services after moving to Kansas City in 1993. In his spare time he enjoyed watching baseball, basketball and football. He also enjoyed writing and singing. He loved praise and worship. He adored his wife and kids. Christian will be dearly missed!

Memorial contributions may be made in Christian’s name to Annette Camlin to help his family residing in the home and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
