Rosalie Ann Fulks

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosalie Ann Fulks, 86, of Olathe, KS. Rosalie passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Azria Health Center in Olathe, KS.

Rosalie was born on February 22, 1938, in Eudora, KS, to Simeon Joseph and Hazel Dell (Wilson) Rothberger. She graduated from Eudora High School in 1956 and later received her Associates degree in Paralegal studies from Johnson County Community College. 

Throughout her working years, Rosalie held various positions, including and retiring from a secretary at Fort Leavenworth, a supervisor for Manpower managing KU athletic events, and a dedicated employee at KU Army ROTC and NCS. She was known for her strong work ethic and commitment to her roles.  

Rosalie leaves behind her two children, Mark (Nancy) Fulks and Stephanie Liebig, five grandchildren; Nicholaus, Lauren, Joshua, Brandon, and Sydnie, ten great-grandchildren, and her sister, Joan (Charles) Shelley. 

Rosalie’s passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew her. She will be missed but remembered for her dedication and hardworking nature. Rest in peace, Rosalie.

Memorial contributions may be made in Rosalie’s name to Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

    I worked with Rosalie at the KU Army ROTC department from 1985-88 when she was the office manager and often saw her when she worked at KU basketball games. She was always very pleasant and very efficient in her work. My condolences to her family.

    I too worked with Rosalie at the KU Army ROTC Department in the late 1980’s. I enjoyed the enthusiasm and energy she brought to the job. It was always a delight to be around her. My condolences to the family, I know she will be greatly missed.
