Resurrection Prayer
Most merciful Father, we commend our departed into your hands. We are filled with the sure hope that our departed will rise again on the Last Day with all who have died in Christ. We thank you for all the good things you have given during our departed’s earthly life. O Father, in your great mercy, accept our prayer that the Gates of Paradise may be opened for your servant. In our turn, may we too be comforted by the words of faith until we greet Christ in glory and are united with you and our departed. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen
I knew Candace both through our work at the state of Kansas as well as Beta Sigma Phi. She was such a hard worker and deeply cared about the work she was involved in. She was so dedicated to helping her family and those who needed her assistance. I admired her gardening skills and enjoyed her love of Victorian style. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts for memories of a beautiful and well-lived life to fill. Blessings on her children/family as they walk through these next weeks ahead. Goodbye for now my friend and fellow Beta Sigma Phi: “I am thy sister”.
So sorry for your loss Moten family. You’ve been in my prayers for comfort.
I am so sorry for your loss and the Moten family. It is heart breaking losing her. What comes to mind for me is her dedication to families and children over many years. She was a social worker through and through! She served families, foster care and adoption and made a difference in the lives of others. She was a good friend and colleague. I will miss her.

Candy, her brother Nick and sister Darcy and the twins were our neighbor’s for several years in Liberal. Candy was my classmate and friend in junior high and highschool. She had a bubbly personality and a warm smile. Praying for the Schwindt family and Candy’s children and grandchildren. May she RIP in the Lord’s care.
I worked for Candace thirty years ago and she remains the best supervisor I’ve ever had! She was thoughtful, hard working, humble and supportive to clients and staff alike. She adored her family and made friends everywhere she went. She will always be my ideal example of what a social worker can be.
