Graveside services for Ruth Marie Logan, 88, Lawrence, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Quenemo, KS. Ruth passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023, at LMH Health.
Ruth was born on April 16, 1935, in Waverly, KS, the daughter of Howard and Bernice (Goodwill) Beard.
She was a Physicians Assistant and was an Avon representative.
She enjoyed painting, decorating, gardening and was a fabulous cook. She volunteered her time at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She married Richard Logan on May 29, 1953, in Lawrence, KS. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include her daughter, Julie (Tom) Albers, two sons, Rick Logan and Lance (Laurey) Logan; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s name to LMH Endowment and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

One of the most beautiful women (inside and out) I’ve ever known. Condolences to Dick and the family. Ruthie had a huge heart and a giant laugh. She will be missed.
Thoughts and prayers for your family. Mrs. Logan was a fixture on Missouri Street. She always kept Gary and Rick in line as much as possible.
My sincere condolences to all who loved Ruth. She was an inspiration for growing older so graciously. It was a pleasure knowing her as she always had a smile and a hug that was for real.
