Christine and I are saddened to learn of Meta’s passing. I have fond memories of numerous fun and uplifting visits with Larry and Meta when we lived in Lawrence, just a few blocks from their home. Larry’s native cheery personality could always make me smile and feel good about things!
Meta was always welcoming and optimistic — they were a good match, and they will be in the eternities, thanks to the blessings of the Gospel and the temple.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Meta. She was a wonderful person and enjoyed working with her as what i knew King Radio. Larry i am sending my thoughts to you as you go through this difficult time.
I only worked with Meta for a short time at Honeywell, but it was long enough to know she was a truly special person. My condolences to your family at this difficult time.
The world has lost a sweet and kind woman. Meta was a special lady and I am a better person just knowing her. I will miss her at our little get together with a few of the “old” King Radio family. Thank you Larry for bring Meta to our meetings, and for sharing Meta with us. May God wrap his arms around her family and friends.
My deepest sympathies to the family. So many of my happy childhood memories include Meta. She was such a loving and kind woman who will be greatly missed by all. I know I will never forget our Branson mother-daughter trip. I love you, Meta. Tell Mom hi.
Larry and family, Meta, made an impact on so many people. She is one of the kindest people I have ever met in my life. I loved working with her when I was at King radio / Bendix King and then later working with Larry at Kmart Distribution Center. I never remember a time that Meta didn’t have a kind word to say or a smile on her face. I can’t imagine what you’re going through Larry but know that you’re in my thoughts and my prayers along with your children and grandchildren.
The world has lost another beautiful soul way too soon, heaven has gained one more. Rest in peace Meta. You will truly be missed.
Such sad news!! Meta was such a lovely person. Sending prayers and love to all of her family and friends.
We are so sorry to hear about meta. We love you both very much and will see you soon.
My deepest sympathy to the family. The years of our daughters dancing together while all of us stage mothers watched are some of my best memories. And Delbert working with Larry at Kmart Distribution Center for all those years were the best.
We are so sorry to hear of Meta’s passing. We loved spending holidays with her and her easygoing nature made everyone around her feel at ease. We are praying for Larry and Jenn and your entire family. Love Jay and Angie Harmon
Meta has been so cheerful and optimistic through these many months of treatments, and Larry you have been so supportive and protective of her. You are both good examples. I hope you have that comforting “peace beyond understanding” for many years to come.
Words cannot express how sad I am to hear of Meta’s passing. She leaves a huge gaping hole in our world. I will always remember our Girl Scout trips, our Ladies Night Out dinners, her sweet smile, her bravery, and her courage.
So sorry for the loss of Meta, she was a great person to all.She will be missed. Condolences to the family.
I had the privilege to work with Meta at Honeywell and was so sad to see she had passed. She truly was a sweet, kind and lovely person and I know she’ll be terribly missed by her family and many friends.
Sister McInroy served us for years in young women’s. Grateful for her diligent effort and kindness.
So sorry to hear of her passing. Our thoughts are with you Larry and family.
Meta was a kind special person. We shared many stories about our spouses, Larry and Ed, many laughs and a lot of eye rolls. She will be missed by all that loved her. 🙏
I am so very sorry to learn of Meta’s passing. She was an incredibly strong and courageous woman who endured so much during her illness. She never let it get the better of her, however. She was an intrepid grandmother, mother, wife, and neighbour who gave so much of herself, always; a professional manager, a lifelong traveler, a wonderful homemaker. Meta did it all. We are a poorer community for her loss. My thoughts go out to Larry and her children and grandchildren at this time.
Oh my, such a sweet lady. I met her growing up on Lawrence Avenue when she would come and visit Doug and his family. They were such a great group to be around. She and her husband would often stop by Dillons when I was working there and share a story and a laugh. She will definitely be missed. Rest in peace.
We are sorry to hear of Meta’s passing. She and Larry were such a great influence on the herd of children that seemed to rotate through our houses on any given weekend or afternoon. A wonderful mother to her children and all the children she influenced. We are grateful she and Larry were such a big part of our daughter’s life and love that Peanut remains close. She will be missed. Rhonda & Jerry Wells
I am so sorry that I wasn’t able to attend Meta’s funeral. My heart goes out to her entire family, some who are special long-time friends. I am so very sorry for your loss. I’ve been sending prayers for comfort and peace for each of you, especially Larry.
