Josefa “Pai” Quintanilla Jump

Funeral services for Josefa “Pai” Quintanilla Jump, 80, Perry, KS will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2022 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Pai passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022 at her home.

Pai was born on April 16, 1942 in Guam, the daughter of Jesus Duenas and Lucia Cruz Santos Quintanilla.

She worked at Bendix King (King Radio) for several years until she retired.   

She married Gary Dean Jump on December 12, 1967 in Guam. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2019.

Survivors include her four children, Joseph Quintanilla (Alma), Robert Jump (Heather), both of Lawrence, Nicole Wooden (Michael), Perry, KS and Michael Jump (Danielle), Smithtown, NY; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Ben Quintanilla and two sisters, Mary Quintanilla and Feli Evangelista.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

Memorial contributions may be made in Pai’s name to Interim Hospice and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
